remaining Anchor porter that I can hang onto as a substitute for Guinness stout, which I can't bring myself to drink more than a couple of sips of, lol.

Corned venison and corned oryx are really MUCH better - fine-grained and not a speck of fat, and they crockpot up nicely. Even home-corned beef is probably better, especially if you could get ahold of a nice lean grass-fed brisket.
