And yet Lott gets invited back time after time to spew this garbage. From Little Arfin' Annie's "faggot" comment to Lott's blame-the-wounded justification, there is nothing a conservative can say that will get him or her excluded from getting a national platform.

I get the feeling Mr. Lott would have felt right at home in the Stalinist Soviet Union, where soldiers who were wounded or captured were condemned as enemies of the state for not dying in the line of duty, like good Soviets.
