Scott McClellan can kiss my happy ass.
He's a lying sack of crap. I wouldn't trust anything he says. If he tells me it's raining, I'm still gonna stick my head out the window just to be sure.

October 31, 2005 still makes me laugh and laugh and laugh. What a wanker. His little half-assed attempt at penance isn't fooling me a bit. This tosser just wants to cash in.

4. I wish I had your confidence in him
but I don't. He's a proven liar. So far, I haven't seen or heard a single thing from him to show otherwise.

14. What can he possibly hope to gain standing up to them? Look what has happened
Edited on Tue Jun-10-08 12:35 PM by AuntPatsy
to others that have tried, I give kudo's to them that earn them, Scotty has redeemed himself, I give second chances, none of us are perfect, how do you know what you would have done in similar circumstances and going up against such a highly powerful criminal element, more would do well to follow suit and quit being scare of them, its how they have remained in power for so long.....

9. What is the alternative? For him to just keep his mouth shut?
I agree he should have spoken out years ago. Should have resigned in a huff, screaming bloody murder about the crimes of this administration but he didn't. So we are going to piss in our Wheaties now? At least something is being done to bring the misdeeds and lies of the BFEE to the American people. He is going to testify before Congress under oath - that in and of itself is priceless. And are you surprised that he has chosen to make money off of it? Really> That is neo-con 101 - when all else fails rely on the free market to at least make money off of your sins, lies and crimes.

It isn't perfect, but it is all we have got so I say use it or lose it.

7. The part where he squirms like a weasel.
Here's the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O5tD31X7MsI

It's also impressive because David Gregory is sort of doing his job.

8. I'll be convinced IF he testifies under oath to the committee on the 20th
...depending on what they ask him and how he responds. None of this "I have no recollection" bs, and the questioning better be rigorous.

17. Just busy bee work
Busy busy. It's amazing how they don't have time for the "risks" of impeachment but are happy to hold hearing after hearing covering the exact same topics -- just without the justice.

Others may be content with this, but to me it calls into serious question the entire notion that the Dems will fix anything after November. If they won't do the right things now, what confidence should I have that they won't apply the same excuses next year, and beyond?

12. In the succession of Bush 43 press secretaries, I believe McClellan is truly honest.
He obfuscated like a fiend, but he prided himself on never telling what he knew to be a lie. When he found that he'd been lied to by Rove et al about Plame, he quit.

I can't help but feel a small amount of respect for the man.

13. Reward? Seize all profits from his book sales and give him a jail cell with a view...
... he more than did his part to facilitate the Bush disasters visited on our country and the world.

He deserves no better IMHO.
