1. believe it or not, yes
According to what I've read McCain, Rudy and even Coulter's favorite, Mitt, issued statements denouncing it.

5. thanks. I wonder if she will be invited to speak at any other official events?
That will really show us if they support this kind of crap or not.

7. Only Rudy Had the Cahonas to Do It Himself
McCain and Romney did it through their "spokepersons".

2. some
i've only heard of giuliani, mccrazy, and romney denouncing the remarks. I suppose the bigotry wasn't subtle enough for their tastes.

4. Faux News
FNC just had some kind of panel on discussing it- one former Kerry staffer, 3 info-babe panelists (have no idea that their organizations were) and the fast-talking too much makeup hostess babe. Other than when they let the Kerry guy get a word in, the entire purpose seemed to be to equate Bill Maher's remark about Cheney (which happened to be factual) with AC's vitriol. Ann got a total pass.

6. Why would they?
Let's face it, Ann Coulter's values ARE republican values. They have no more right to act like they're shocked she said some vile, bigoted thing than they would to be surprised if they had Gallagher as a performer and he smashed a watermelon. Being offensive is what Ann Coulter does. If they're sorry about anything, it should be that their party has become some morally bankrupt that they allow people like Ann Coulter to speak at their events.
