How many more things has Bush screwed up or neglected that we don't' know about?
Edited on Mon Mar-05-07 02:58 PM by Quixote1818
Now that we know they were trying to bury the Walter Reed story and we know that Bush and Co. have screwed up everything they have touched, it makes me wonder how many other things are screwed up that haven't been reported on yet? It seems like every few months a new Bush disaster emerges, so what will be the next one and which ones will never be reported on?

Anyone have any leads they can give the press as to what the "unknown unknowns" are? This President is a walking natural disaster! Did God send him down to punish us?

On Edit: As Rumsfield would say:

The Unknown
As we know,
There are known knowns. (like Walter Reed)
There are things we know we know.
We also know
There are known unknowns.
That is to say
We know there are some things
We do not know.
But there are also unknown unknowns,
The ones we don't know
We don't know.

1. God has nothing to do with this failure of man named George Bush
there are many things we do not know, and probably won't for many years.

15. No "maybe" about it. We are. That crazy rabble-rousing longhaired "Jesus" dude said so.
"As for those who did not KNOW me, they shall be judged according to their WORKS."

Probably loses something in the translation(s), but the POINT still seems clear enough, dunnit?

12. No. We have "free will". G*d SEES everything, but that doesn't make him RESPONSIBLE for it. nm

17. I try to remember that every day. I don't always succeed, but I try.
I can't honestly say I am a "GOOD" person, but
I am certainly much CLOSER to "good" than I once was.

And that one little thought/mantra/self-help affirmation
has helped me get better at being "good". Better than I
USED to be, anyway.

(I'm about to totally MANGLE a quote, so don't hold me to it.)

One of the most influential things I ever read was an interview
with a Jew who had survived several years in the Nazi death-camps.

And he was asked SPECIFICALLY about whether he still believed that God was omnipresent;
if GOD was always "with" everyone in that particular "hell on earth" situation
where so many innocent people had been murdered on such a massive scale.

And his response (IMHO) added up to "GOD is always everywhere...
that the human HEART invites him to be".

2. everything they can except corporate interests in govt.
They hate government and think it should go away except as a tool for corporate interests and war. So they are neglecting America to death.

I have an 82 year old liberal relative who thinks this country is going down now, the way past empires have.

(that's on top of the ones we know about)I am thinking this group of "Traitors" will be facing the wrath of the American people.

Walter Reed
Katrina
Illegal Wire tapping
Funding Al Quida groups with black money..

Oh I think this year is going to be very significant year.

6. Once we take back the White House
then all those secrets, all those signing statements, all those back door midnight policy signings will be coming to light. Personally I hope this happens before the next election.

22. We'll be told to move on for the good of the country
Just like the Florida recount, we'll be told that people just want to move on. And except for the outnumbered men and women of character left in Congress, there will be nothing but polite praise for the outgoing Regime. It's sickening.

The Democrats already know how corrupt and incompetent this Regime is yet they refuse to do much of anything about it. The tough talk was for the campaign, apparently.

10. At this point, maybe (literally) EVERYTHING.
So far, everyone who has actually looked into ANYTHING
that this MisAdministration has done has found massive
fraud and blatant incompetence.

SERIOUSLY: has anyone, anywhere, ever found ANYTHING that
this bunch has done well? Or competently? Or even HONESTLY?

Has ANYONE found a single initiative or program, no matter how small,
that was rationally conceived and competently administered by BushCabal™?

Has anyone EVER discovered ANYTHING this administration has done in the last six years
that wasn't a SCAM being used to benefit the "haves and have-mores"?

Anyone? Bueller?

18. You know, I've actually coined a phrase for that, but SOMEHOW it just hasn't "caught on" yet.
"the opposite of the midas touch;
everything they touch turns to shit"

I've been calling it "The MERDEs Touch" for a good 3 years now.
(From the French; "merde" = feces.)

Hasn't "caught on" yet, but I'm still using it!

21. i first heard it
some 40 years ago - the guy who loved to say it had a lead-in line for it but I cant remember it - i keep trying - he'd say "i must have the ____ touch"; someone would say "why?" and that would be the response. I can see him mock-scowling as he says it, but just cant come up with what the hell his line was

19. Now THERE is a question to keep me awake at night

There have been nights, when sleep doesn't come easily, where I have wondered to myself what is going that we DON'T know about.

Since this has been the most secretive, criminal administration ever, you can pretty well guess that there is a LOT of horrifying things we don't yet know about.

23. yeah. Well-said. I fear that there will be unpleasant surprises for decades to come
The usual pattern is that the really nasty stuff starts coming out some time after the main parties have kicked the bucket ... and based on his dad's longevity, Georgie will probably make it well past 2035. Granted, he will probably try to shred or erase a lot of records before then.
