I actually joined after the midterms simply because I wanted to watch their little pointed heads spin off. I intended to just lurk but they are SO vile, I couldn't keep my mouth shut. I got booted and they trace IPs. I couldn't rejoin so had a friend of mine in another country rejoin for me under a different ID. Now I truly do just lurk. We are building a website to parody hers.

As a lesbian and a leftist I am repelled and totally freaked when I read over there. As someone who's field is psychology, it's kind of interesting. ...in a "fly on the wall at a Klan meeting" kind of way. Those people are the meanest, vilest, most repugnant people I have ever witnessed. It's not a whole lot different than going to Fred Phelp's "God Hates Fags" website. It's stunning. They are also the most frightened people I have ever witnessed. They REALLY do think the country is going to be overrun by Mexican, Muslim, atheist, lesbians. They REALLY think this. It's stunning. I live in Texas. We have Klan Klavens and yet, the Coulterites still amaze me. It's like watching a train wreck....

I used to live in Texas as well until I found a road heading East as well as one going West; I've traveled both. I left a lot of family behind who find me suspect while remembering the sweet untested boy that I used to be. It's the uncertainty, the inertia that they fear, the thinking outside the box that they know they are capable of and that they may be forced into without the necessary skills to function competitively. They'll be alright but their hand must be forced.........that's what they fear, their awakening. The time will come when they must tell themselves that "Hey, Tommy Jay can do it, he has for years, I can do it too."

My first career was as a behavioral psychologist, DU offers it's own "fly on the wall" experience.
