CNN: Cheney has a blood clot in his leg
Edited on Mon Mar-05-07 03:30 PM by eleny
On CNN right now.

He's back at the WH and doing fine.

Edit: He experienced pain in his leg this morning and was taken to the hospital. He'll be treated with blood thinners.

you don't dissolve it altogether and you move around.

Probably caused by the soul being so shriveled and dessicated.

Seriously, with all the trouble Darth Cheney has had with his feet/legs over the years from his drinking & heart/circulation problems, should this be a surprise to anyone?

they know he's about to get knocked around because of the plame outing and since he's useless as a 2008 candidate they'll want to move the next puppet into place next to the chimp.

38. Could be, but I doubt it.
I don't think being closely associated with the Bush administration would help any candidate in the next election. The only reason I could see Cheney stepping down would be if impeachment proceedings were imminent. And they aren't.

22. I think he had a problem on the way home from overseas and
they landed the plane in Singapore. But then he probably felt ok. Because they wheeled the stairs to the door. They would not do that for a problem with the plane. It was probably a problem with the passenger. cheney.

54. This thread shows Sheer humor....however...
leg clots/deep vein thrombosis..you do not move around....when I had one, I was imobilized in a hospital bed...there was NO going anywhere, NO walking...NO nothing, including moving around...I was in bed, on my back..I had a cradle that kept the covers off it, because they wouldn't even allow the weight of the covers to lie on my leg..2 solid weeks, I laid there taking blood thinners to dissolve the clot, as they poked me every day to test my blood..he had mild pain in calf...HAH...my calf pain was nothing short of excruciating...and my leg kept going out from under me...I left work in an ambulance, and checked directly into the hospital...while he's back at the WH??? hmmmmm, interesting....he's how old?...with heart problems...I was 18, walked several miles a day, and was healthy as a horse...so something is not making any sense here...maybe someone IS trying to do him in....

56. treatment has drastically changed over the years
I've had blood clots, the first one in 1968. As late as my last one, in 1996, they put you in the hospital on bed rest for 5-7 days while they thinned your blod. Like you, I was taken immediately to a bed in the hospital...they even bypassed admitting. Now, they treat most blood clots outpatient.

They also take clots above the knees a lot more seriously than clots below the knee.
