Remember how Gary Hart was forced to drop out of the 1988 presidential race
because of Donna Rice? Why isn't the press asking about all the adultery that Giuliani committed? Or all the adultery that McCain committed? Or all the adultery that Gingrich committed? The only talk about marital infidelity I hear is regarding whether or not Bill Clinton will hurt Hillary's campaign.

1. The difference is that Hart denied it
and basically dared the media to catch him.

2. It wasn't the adultery.
It was daring the press to catch him at it.

4. I think everything changed in 1992
The fact that Bill Clinton was able to mitigate the Gennifer Flowers controversy proved that an "adulterer" could be President. Well, John F. Kennedy and Warren harding proved that too (along with many others), but here we're talking about an "adulterer" who's been "exposed".

The difference between Bill Clinton and Gary Hart was that Bill Clinton knew how to apologize and be contrite. Furthermore, the fact that he received forgiveness from Hillary Clinton went a long way.

7. the difference was that Hart thought for himself and wasn't owned.
He was smart articulate and would have been a great president. The fact that he was not owned made his media assasination inevitable. See the dean scream. Our system is corrupt beyond tolerance.

9. I'm from Colorado and supported Hart from the very beginning.
I was simply dumbfounded when he blew it in such an uncharacteristic way. The Dean scream was wholly manufactured by the media assassins that always hated him, Gary was just plain stupid and committed suicide all on his own.

8. well, that and the fact that only Democrat's sex scandals are scrutinized
you know, like Kennedy, Clinton, et al.

You never hear about the Republicans' sex scandals. i wonder why that is. Hell, I expected Mark Foley to be arrested just like the other pervs on Dateline: To Catch A Predator. Same crime, same time.

11. I can list some Republican sex scandals
1. Clarence Thomas
2. Bob Packwood
3. Henry Hyde (impeachment fallout)
4. Bob Livingston (impeachment fallout)
5. Rudy Giuliani (2000 NY Senate when this story broke)
6. Newt Gingrich (tied to the impeachment fallout)
7. Bob Barr (impeachment fallout)

And here is a list of Republicans who have committed adultery:

1. John McCain
2. Bob Dole
3. Strom Thurmond
4. William Cohen (Clinton Defense Secretary)
5. Dan Burton
6. Nelson Rockefeller (heart attack while having sex I think)

A list of Republicans accused of committing adultery, but not proven:

1. Ronald Reagan (I've heard Jane Wyman left him)
2. George H. W. Bush (by Gennifer Flowers)

6. True. I wonder if Matthews will ask Rudy, Newt &John if they
will be able to keep their pants on, since he keptrepeatedly asking Hillary's spokesman "will Bill behave himself his wife wins the WH, or will he embarass her by misbehaving again?

I couldn't believe he wouldn't accept any answer but kept hammering the guy on that same thing.

10. With Giuliani, it was serial adultery. He had something going on
with his press adjunct, Christine Lategano. He thinks that because he married the second woman with whom he had a public affair, he redeemed himself.

13. Repukes, being chosen by Gawdalmighty his own self to rule the rest of us,
are understood to be forgiven of any sins they commit

Democrats, on the other hand, are damned even for the sins that repukes only imagine have been committed. Plus, Democrats are destroying the morality of America with their vile acts.

Glad I could help.
