Do NOT buy pepsi in the new can

Subject: DON'T BUY PEPSI IN THE NEW CAN!

Don't buy Pepsi in the new can. Pepsi has a new 'patriotic' can
coming out with pictures of the Empire State Building , and the
Pledge of Allegiance on them.
However, Pepsi left out two little words on the pledge,

'Under God.'
Pepsi said they didn't want to offend anyone.

In that case, we don't
want to offend anyone at the Pepsi corporate office, either!
So if we don't buy any Pepsi product, they will not be offended
when they don't receive our money that has the words

'In God We Trust' on it.

HOW FAST CAN YOU FORWARD THIS ONE?

--I replied that I believe in the separation of Church and State and that the words "under God" should never have been added to the Pledge in the first place. I sent it out to all the people it was forwarded to; about fifty.

10. I sent it back to everybody it was forwarded to...
I replied to it and said that I was tired of people shoving religion down my throat. I felt good about it, until I realized that I'll probably be seeing the person who sent it at a graduation party today!

4. Thanks for the heads up -- bet this one started in a chat room on aol
I'll probably be seeing this one on my other lists within a day or two, after it gets through all the little dumbasses on aol.

With cheaper computers and more access nationwide, the truly moronic have a big playground.

5. Snopes was all over it...
back in '02 - '03 when pinheads were promulgating this pap.

Looks like RW rumors just bounce around inside the tubes that comprise the internets until they run out of kinetic energy.

6. SNOPES is your friend. This is from 2002 (re; Pepsi, also re: Coke)

http://www.snopes.com/politics/business/undergod.asp

Dr. Pepper actually had the three words "One Nation ... Indivisible" on their label in November 2001, but not the entire pledge.

shouldn't the problem be with having it on a soda can in the first place?

11. Once again, the right-wing outrage generator...
Proves that lies are the coin of their realm. We can take some solace in the realization that they are now having to retread old lies.

Some, but not a lot.
