I usually don't rant about radio shows
But man , AAR made some horrid changes to their lineup , we don't need less liberal talk we need more about important subjects not this fellow about material crap .

I worry about the Guy James show and even at times Nova M since it's changing and still new .

That's all I have to say , I am just tired of change .

1. I used to listen all of the time
Then they dumped Mike Malloy, moved Sam Seder to the morning when I am at work. I like Rachel Maddow, but the format for her show is horrible. I can't listen to it. I never listen after 5 anymore and before that was the time that I did listen. Then to top it off, XM puts Ed "Lieberman Lover" Schultz on the AAR channel in place of my favorite host Thom Hartmann.

2. I feel the same way
My wife is listening to this new guy who used to be Mr KABC and he is interviewing Hartmann and Randi and Maddow .

I don;t listen to AAR since they dropped Malloy . And I got XM specifically for Malloy , now I use the Nova M stream .

I prefered the old AAR lineup on XM .

7. Marc Germain. He used to be Mr. KFI back in the 90s.
Now he's just Mr. K. Pleasant but unobtrusive. Considers himself a "law and order" liberal

6. I'd agree with you except
neither you or I can afford to pay for the line up we'd like to listen to. When I heard about the change I questioned how many functioning brain cells they had. We are still fighting an uphill battle. Out where I live the ONLY progressive voice you can hear on regular radio is Hartmann, and that's only over the last two years. I have to stream everything since the area has been brainwashed for too long by the right-wing a#$holes. It broke my heart to move back here and see what had happened to this part of the Appalachian rust-belt.

What it boils down to is you have to fight for what you want. Phoenix did it, Madison did it, Boston didn't. Hartmann came to Pgh to fill in for a regular host and I called and wrote the station to thank them and ask them to add him to the regular line-up and they did. I don't flatter myself to think that it was only me, but if I hadn't let them know it might not have happened.

Bottom line is don't cry or bitch about it, do something. I spent everything I could to keep Guy James, White Rose, and Radiopower going so I could get my fix of reasonable talk radio, even if it was over the internet. I've banged on the doors of dozens of radio stations only to find that there was no one there. If you want it, it's going to take some effort to get it. They might have the money, but we have the boots on the ground. Our boots don't mean anything if we don't get them moving. I know how hard it is and I don't expect it to get any easier. (and that's really tough for an old fart like me) Don't get discouraged and take a relaxation break when you need it. It's going to be a long fight and you can't burn out before we get to the end (if there is an end).

You're not alone in this so keep fighting for what you want.
