Help, I have been completely cut off from the world for a week.

I have been in a cabin for a week with no access to news. It has been wonderful, but I need to know what has been happening. I do know about the flooding due to seeing a lot on our trip back from MN to NE, but an overview of everything else would be greatly appreciated. I can listen to the news, but need the word from DU.

I've been one of those saying I was sorry to see him arrive and not sorry to see him go. If that sounds rough to some people, hey, I hand out grades for a living. SCOTUS said Gitmo prisoners had habeas corpus thingie, again are able to have cases heard by judge and either be returned somewhere, or somewhere else, or charged. mrbush disagreed.

IA is flooding. Crops doing poorly, transportation blocked. Gas costs more.
