Why, oh why, don't I learn to turn the TeeVee off after Countdown?

Just got done listening to the spin about why there was outrage in the MSM about Coulter's remarks, while only on blogs about Bill Maher's (alleged) remarks about Dick Cheney. Apparently, it's because when a conservative says something offensive, the media makes a big deal about it, but when a "liberal" like Maher does it, it isn't news.:crazy:

Well gosh. Maybe if Maher had said (what he was alleged to have said, not actually said) at a major Democratic party event, and done it right after being introduced in glowing terms by a top Dem candidate, it might have gotten serious coverage in the media. Ya think?

BTW, does anyone remember all the outrage in the MSM when Ann Coulter was advocating the assassination of a Supreme Court justice? Well, I don't either.:banghead:

Realistically, what sort of reaction do people think there would be if some "liberal" spokesperson were giving interviews all over the corporate media, and saying the kind of outrageous things that Coultergeist gets away with? There isn't even a basis for comparison, because if there were somebody on our side making the same sorts of remarks about their side, they'd be in Gitmo by now.
