Jon Stewart is Pissed About Walter Reed!
They are still doing bits and video about it well after the commercial break - tearing into Bush with video clips. And you can hear the anger in his humor. Going on with a bit about responsibility, bringing in WMD, abu Ghraib, no body armor, missing cash, etc.

Well worth catching the re-run.

2. TOTAL SMACKDOWN
I LOVE when Jon gets that tone in his voice when you just know he's going to tear somebody a new one. That was the best piece of journalism I've seen on the Walter Reed affair (on TV of course).

Definitely catch the re-run if you missed this!

the reporter who was seriously injured in Iraq. Would he have recovered so well if HE'D had to go to Water Reed?

10. Walter Reed hospital was privatized
and given a contract by a halliburton subsidiary. Sorry, can't find the link now.

11. It was excellent
Jon Stewart outdid himself tonight. TDS' typical demographic is younger people (18-30, I believe,) so I'm hoping they were listening carefully.

What an outstanding show, and yeah, Stewart was palpably angry. He should be.

13. I will catch the re-run
Watching Coming Home about severely injured service members and their struggles, extraordinary struggles.

MSNBC keeps flashing on prosthetics moving down the halls of Walter Reed and the floors are polished and the walls are clean and white.

All the facilities look top notch and clean, but the narrator isn’t giving the names of any others, just Walter Reed.

A picture is worth a thousand words? I don’t believe this is not purposeful.

Just had a news update on MSNBC about the deplorable conditions at Walter Reed, waiting to see if there are more pretty pictures, just to feed the cognitive dissonance.
