CNN Bush love fest -- while showing death and destruction in Baghdad
Holy shit, what a strange morning, even for CNN; they immediately started playing "highlights" of Chimp's heard-it-all-before Iraq speech to the Amurkin Lejun, while Jennifer Eccleson (sp?) said it how it was "unfortunate" that even as Bush was saying how swell things were in Iraq, new bombings had taken place. Blah blah blah, George cares for our military...then they split-screen to bloody, maimed Iraqis, men and children, bleeding in their hospital beds, half hamburger, then scenes of the carnage in the streets. I'm not sure what the hell their goal was/is, but it sure was strange. "Chimpy is doing great in Iraq -- see the bloody kids smiling?"

:wtf:

1. Yes, it was very strange. Also, I heard Tony Snow quoted
on NPR this am as saying that "There were signs of improvement on the ground in Baghdad, but that it was too early to tell whether or not the increased troop strength provided by 'the surge' was helping."

What a bunch of nonsense:crazy:

2. It sounds like they were sending a message about the disconnect between
Bush/Cheney's wonderful speeches and what is reality in Iraq

.... a little passive-aggressive, but it sounds more like someone at CNN has a sense of irony

5. This Was Bound to Happen
The clash of freedom of the press with the pressure of propaganda.

How deplorable.
