Has it gotten so bad that we hold a Fitzebration every time a Republican upholds the law?

I'm a little saddened by this news. Fitzgerald did a great job, but what he got was a little fish, and one not necessarily leading to those who put the policy in place to break the law to destroy an administration critic. In fact, Libby looks a whole lot like a fall guy to me. He takes the rap and the investigation could well lead to nothing but brick walls from here on out.

Maybe I'm being too cynical here, but it sure seems like there's a lot of hoopla over a slam dunk case that still took four years to come to trial. Do you know how many people died in these past four years? I'm so bummed I may just cancel my 4th Annual Shock-&-Awniversary party.

Everyone knows that Libby and Cheney were attached at the hip for years. When Libby said it, usually that meant Cheney said it. This puts a hell of a lot of pressure on Cheney. We might actually get his resignation out of this.

Kind of convenient with the whole blood clot thing.

Fitzgerald is careful to be apolitical in his targets and his public life alike. He registered to vote as an Independent in New York, only to discover, when he began receiving fundraising calls, that Independent was a political party. He re-registered with no affiliation, as he did later in Chicago.

People are rejoicing because there's so few times when justice actually gets carried out anymore. Slam-dunk case or not, there was no guarantee it would even come to trial, or if it did, that it wouldn't be a farce.
