5. Congress.
Fitz said it's up to congress. I'd be stunned if the new congress lets this die.

14. Perhaps we should send outraged letters to Congress.
Ok, Libby is down, that's good. But the biggies were obviously involved. They cannot go free.

15. Inactive. He said inactive.
Like a volcano it can erupt again at any moment. He didn't say closed. He didn't say over. From what I have read about him he does not choose his words carelessly.

Of course I am sooooooooooo hoping that this is the case so my bias can be tainting my judgement.

3. Sounds like the jury worked very hard
They had many very large post-it pages of information that they sorted out.

13. agree--research shows most juries take their role very seriously
and do a great job. How many days of their lives did they give up to make sure they had thoroughly considered all the charges and evidence? We owe these citizens a great thanks.

8. This is one hell of a press conference
At one point, this juror thought they might see Bush on the stand (when they were told that the White House was engineering things).

Wow!

11. Maybe if Libby hadn't obstructed justice, Rove would have been.
You obstruct justice to prevent prosecutions. That's the point of it.

16. Exactly, and just because Libby was convicted
doesn't mean he has to tell the truth now. I wish that wasn't the case, but it is.

"Taking the fall" works, or else it wouldn't have a name.
