just talked to an Italian friend from the South Chicago suburbs. he had a party with about 30 adults, and they ALL (but he and his sister) are going w/McCain, despite the fact that over half of them are democrats, several of whom REALLY hate Bush

it's all about race, and they freely admitted it

so that's what I'm most afraid of: media and race
