Barack Obama in response to Scooter conviction...
“The conviction today underscores what happens when our foreign and national security policies are subverted by politics and ideology,” Obama said in the statement. “Leaks and innuendo in pursuit of a flawed policy lead to shameful episodes such as this. It should never happen again.”

2. totally agree..........
I'm so sick of this "flawed policy" rhetoric. The other one that pisses me off is "this was the wrong war at the wrong time". Even this notion that Bush "rushed us into war" is bothersome. Hardly anyone in the Democratic party has had the balls to speak truth to power. This war is nothing short of reprehensible and immoral. I'm so sick of the carefully worded rhetoric. Howard Dean became a legitimate candidate for his party's nomination last go around after he spoke truth to power about this war at a gathering in California. Ugh, this is frustrating. I want so badly to believe in Obama but he has yet to do anything to separate himself from your average, carefully scripted politican from where I'm sitting.

4. Indeed. Any chance any of the candidates will call it like it is? LYING
and manipulating intelligence??

Oh, my no. That would alienate all the voters who think that's a loony leftist conspiracy minded way to think.

3. A little more of the fresh new breeze sweeping across America, please.
And a lot less of the same old political politics as usual bullshit.
