Let me put the Nation's current problems in a nutshell |
|
It seems to me:
We live in an extremely complex society and as it developed an equally complex regulatory framework evolved in which we could function socially and economically, nationally and internationally. In 2000 a regime came into power that dismantled much of that regulatory framework and ignored most of the rest. The result is the mess you see today. The problem has been compounded by opportunistic theft, that opportunity having arisen from the dismantlement itself.

1. "Too much wealth at the top. Too much debt at the bottom." |

Everything else flows from those two facts.
However, the only certainty is impermanence. The wealthy are about to find that out, in spades.

2. I can boil that down even further |

We went from a society of laws to law of the jungle.
The people winning are greatly enjoying going back to feudalism. The people who aren't are sitting around b****ing.

Edited on Mon Jun-30-08 05:52 PM by MissWaverly
said that the Feds were only interested in National Park Land if it concerned oil and natural gas. When they marched into Iraq the only building they protected was the oil ministry. This has been all about the oil from day one.
Gov. Ritter appeared on ABC's This Week show on 6/29.
