The trial was just a scam because Fitzgerald did not or has not yet charged anybody else.

Didn't Patrick Fitzgerald pretty plainly say that scooter threw sand in his eyes? Wasn't the point of the whole obstruction thing that he was kept from going any farther by the lies and obstruction?

It was necessary that scooter be convicted of obstruction so he was publicly and without doubt named a liar and now a convict. Now we know exactly who the leaker was, who designed it, pretty sure who planned it and we know exactly why.

We know Plame was classified, so the law about outing secret agents may not apply to chenybush, rove and the rest of the milhaus gang, but we know beyond any question they violated classification rules, got people killed, destroyed an intelligence noc organization, crippled the wmd tracking effort, deliberately altered intelligence, lied to the American people and pulled off a non-sanctioned invasion, killed upwards of a million people, tortured, disappeared and kidnapped both guilty and innocent.

IIRC, one of the dead nuts serious charges that was going to hang Piker Nixon, had they indicted and tried him, was that he claimed the right to call classified information that he was responsible for leaking a legal declassification.
