A group of us were having fun with this over the 4th of July. Between us, we've been voting in elections for nearly 40 years and been paying attention to politics even longer. My first memories of an election was Goldwater/Johnson in '64 and have been an active participant in all elections since. In our estimation, there's never been a worse candidate than Gramps...and in so many ways.
First of all is how wrong he is on so many positions. While the corporate media tries to downplay it, Gramps is stumbling all over the place trying to distance himself from the most discredited regime ever while still trying to "stay the course"...people are seeing this parsing and it's not fooling anyone. Next, Gramps has the personality of a sponge. His veneer of being the "maverick" or "good guy" is ruined any time he tries to open his mouth...something stupid come out. He's an awful speaker and I have yet to hear this moron anwer any question asked of him without a 5 minute monologue (almost always off topic). Lastly, he has a terrible campaign organization...they had 3 months to "rebrand" Gramps and failed miserably...and now he's gonna rely on the boooshies to come to his rescue...and ya don't think if he wins they won't have a big IOU? We can now expect his campaign will be all bullshit and no walk...rhetoric just to put words out there and little accounting for it in the corporate media.
The corporate media has billions invested in keeping this a horserace...without it, you won't tune in and watch all those American Petroleum Institute commercials. Gramps is the head of the telecommunications committee in the FCC and the large broadcast corporates want more "deregulation" that Gramps will surely deliver if they win it for him...while they see the end of their free-wheeling days in Washington if Obama is elected.
