I guess one thing with that weather they've been having they have more privileges than we do here in California, is the ability to "casually" light fireworks there when everything is soaked.
I caught him right when a mutual friend of ours was visiting his house and entertaining his kids by lighting off some pretty ambitious rockets... I recall being there in the past when these "events" happened, and given how close it was to his house, I told him that I'm VERY GLAD that our mutual friend wasn't here in California, or he'd be very risky at starting our next firestorm here...
Anyway, sounds like they were having a good time lighting them off then. Was a little jealous of that, given how we have to watch every spark out here now in SoCal!
