WASHINGTON — The Bush administration is considering the withdrawal of additional combat forces from Iraq beginning in September, according to administration and military officials, raising the prospect of a far more ambitious plan than expected only months ago.http://www.nytimes.com/2008/07/13/washington/13military.html?_r=1&hp=&adxnnl=1&oref=slogin&adxnnlx=1215955431-SPKkHPYq1Yq/cJf29cbfvA&pagewanted=print

1. Then Obama can say "even bush supports withdrawing troops, when McCain wants them there for 100..
years"

McSame has flip-flop so many times on this war...whether or when it should end, I really think this is a loose-loose for the neocons.

2. msnbc said troop withdrawals would be 'good' for mccain
since he supported the surge, he can point out that the surge worked.

3. "the surge worked" a good talking point, until you ask, "at what cost?"
and to what real (unambigous) benifit.

4. Nixon did the same thing in '72. Called it "Vietnamization" Voters fell for it.
Of course, the war ground on for another two and a half years, and 12,000 more American lives were lost, but who's counting? Four More Years!

5. Exactly What I Thought When I First Heard Of This.......
take away one of the biggest reasons for electing Obama before he gets a chance to do it.
