Not long ago, my daughter participated in a class debate in her 10th grade civics class, on torture. She, along with maybe 4 other classmates argued against it, with the remaining 35 member class arguing for it. The main reasoning on the pro side was that this was the only way to prevent an immediate nuclear attack. It was like the pro kids had their total world view formed by the tv show 24. My daughter was extremely upset after that class, and I was very very depressed after she told me about it. It's probably not as bad as it seemed to me that day, but the take over of the news by infotainment, and the lack of any real dialog, and the immersion of the airwaves, radio and tv, in hate mongers, abc, faux, the AP, sure has come home to roost.

I really fear for this country if mcsame gets elected (HE WON'T), and gets the say so for judges, especially the Supremes.

the public agenda since WWII due to Dems generally shitting their pants in abject fear of being labeled soft/weak on national defense, communism, crime, drugs el al, and caving to the 'puke agenda and we can all see where it has brought this nation at this point in time: massive unsustainable budget deficits, crushing Federal and private debt, economy in shambles, vanishing jobs, stock markets in disarray, capital markets in shambles, unbridled corporate greed and corruption, a falling standard of living, a greatly devalued dollar, exploding inflation, a third-world health delivery system wherein some 50 million people are largely left out, jails overcrowded with non-violent inmates due to ludicrous drug laws and ludicrous sentences for non-violent offenders, need I say more? :D
