Jesse Ventura Tells Larry King That He Is Not Running For Senate In Minnesota (VIDEO)
Jesse Ventura announced on Larry King Live Monday that he would not be running for Senate from Minnesota (although he reserved the right to change his mind if God came and told him to run between Monday and the filing deadline Tuesday at 5pm).

Watch Ventura's announcement:

3. Too bad. I was kinda hoping he'd split the repug vote a bit.
I don't think Franken has much of a chance.

5. This is a good thing.
He would have taken more votes away from Franken than from The Weasel. Jesse, for all that he is a total egomaniac and would suck out loud as a Senator, is very much against the war; I doubt many Republicans would vote for him.

7. Well, it's all hypothetical anyway. I agree, on balance it's probably best.
My thought was that Jessie would appeal to a lot of macho LIVs who might otherwise vote Republican. I wasn't thinking about his anti-war stance.

I sure hope Franken starts running some better TV commercials. The one he's got running now is pretty lame. You'd think that someone who was in show biz for as long he was could come up with something punchier. (*sigh*)
