I generally agree with Morford, but not in this case. The M$M always puts some Christofascist on when they want to get "the religious viewpoint", the amount of free publicity they get is mind boggling.

Young people are either secular or if they are evangelical they care about progressive issues like poverty and justice as much as gay marriage or abortion.

There is nobody to replace the christian right, thank god. As they wither out nobody will come in to replace them.
