Must Drill Here......
I am so tired of the "drill here" talking points....

Worse yet, the louder they sing in rabid unison, the further and further distanced from facts, realities, and logical thinking they become.

A recent thread discussing the increases in US Petro exports reminded me of a site I have frequently used and thought I’d share. I have found this site to be an excellent source of information to help make sense of all the misinformation that floats around.

Enjoy!!

1. Since no one is commenting on any of the data....
I thought I would...

I was under the impression that Iraq was not producing/shipping much because obsolete equipment, sabotage, lack of security to correct the former, etc.

Therefore, I was really startled when I reviewed our Imports by Country. Iraqi imports for the first quarter of 2008 was a 42.99% increase over first quarter of 2007 with an average of 21,000 (Thousand Barrels) per month.

In context...for April 2008, we imported 43,867 from Saudi Arabia and 35,672 from Venezuela.

Who knew?? Not the ostrich!

2. Thanks for the link
Although it's far to early in the day for me to grasp the data from the charts, I will bookmark and save for later.

5. You are welcome!
Some days it is always too early for me to grasp data in a chart!

However, I think having such resources as this site, is incredible. The internet is truly one of the best improvements I've seen in my lifetime!

Have a great day!!!

3. I say they must drill off Palm Beach Florida.
They really need to drill there in the Atlantic Ocean in front of North County Road near the fabled Breakers Hotel. It just screams drill here, here's oil.

Or the South Hamptons,

Or any of those places listed in Forbes.

4. The rich don't need Palm Beach they just jet off to an island
The main land is so yesteryear. There is no sentiment for the rich, when they are through with something they throw it away.
Drilling in front of the breakers would just mean that you and I could stay there someday, oil slicks and all.
