This is what trips me out the worst: Soldiers, as a group, are some of the most homophobic people around. Not all of them are; many of them are tolerant of gays and a small fraction of them are gay themselves, but if you take...oh, maybe sixty percent of the soldiers currently serving and ask them about gay people, you'd think you were talking to Fred Phelps. Apparently Phelps does not realize this, or he does and doesn't care.

all of the travel, days not working, etc.? I have read that the only "church" members are family, and that many have jobs (as lawyers - who would hire one of these loons?), but how do they keep their jobs and keep spending money to keep up their "show"? I would be very interested to learn how they get funding.
