Bush is doing this out of pure election year politics.
Anyone who doesn't see through this is blind.
It is a Red Herring argument to begin with (as if 'we" would benefit...LOL) but allows the facade to "blame the Democrats".
A political stunt but, like the support whipped up for the Iraq invasion, I don't underestimate the stupidity of the American people.
