Bush shows his command of the issues at his news conference today.

When confronted about the plan to rescue Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, Bush says he doesn't consider it a bailout.

When asked if other sectors of the economy are vital to the overall health of the U.S. economy, specifically, General Motors, Bush equated a bailout with the government taking control of the company.

Didn't the government bail out Chrysler about 25 years ago with a package that included low-interest credit? I don't recall the government taking over the company in that bailout.

Bush was his usual terse partisan self, blaming the Democrats for the mess we're in.

I think he sets a new standard for ignorance every time he opens his mouth

Now he claims the Democrats were responsible for what he controlled. He's a fucking liar and an idiot.
How can an MBA not realize that providing credit to Fanny and Freddy bails out investors who took undue risk. It's a private company. The shareholders are the owners.
