VIA Jay Bookman: McCain sending his cyber minions out to infiltrate liberal blogs
Edited on Tue Jul-15-08 01:16 PM by CatWoman
I can't pull up the McCain website, but hopefully someone here can:

From Bookman's blog:

Now this is an interesting approach….

John McCain has a page on his website encouraging supporters to become commenters at suggested blogs (this one not among them.)

“Select from the numerous web, blog and news sites listed here, go there, and make your opinions supporting John McCain known. Once you’ve commented on a post, video or news story, report the details of your comment by clicking the button below. After your comments are verified, you will be awarded points through the McCain Online Action Center.”

The site even offers Today’s Talking Points to help the would-be commenter keep in step with the campaign’s message. I’m not sure what you could do with the “points” you rack up by commenting and reporting back on your pro-McCain comments, so if anyone knows, drop a line.

Five liberal sites are listed, along with more than 70 sites listed as conservative, four as moderate and 14 as “other.”

Georgia-based PeachPundit makes the list as “other,” as does Instapundit, which strikes me as odd. If Glenn Reynolds doesn’t make the cut as conservative, what criteria are you using?

ALBUQUERQUE - John McCain says the troop increase strategies used in Iraq should also be applied to Afghanistan, and that he knows more than Barack Obama about “how to win wars.”

Where did he learn that? 895 out of 899 at Annapolis? Wrecking 5 planes? Getting captured? Letting Bush slander him out of the race in 2000?

2. He's too cheap to pay an outfit
like Netvocates? What are those points good for? Are conservatives really stupid enough to think having more points makes them more important? Oh, strike that one, they are.

He's acting like conservative trolls aren't already out there flooding those same sites with idiotic talking points, like he's discovered something new and different which will certainly make a difference in the election.

Christ! They really are a bunch of witless saps.

12. oh ick. .
I just read a few of the comments on the most recent article. (The site takes forever to load.. clunky as hell) and a couple of quick witted non-supporters have them running in circles. It doesn't seem to be moderated.

17. I noticed that lack of moderation the other day
It's like almost anyone can leave almost any kind of comment there - not that I'm suggesting anyone do that...
