Been watching C-Span2 committee hearing on Fannie MAE/Freddie MAC bailout

...Ben Bernanke has been like a bump on a log throughout the hearings, what a duffus.

Then Treasury Secretary Hank Paulson has proposed a Federal Financial Czar endowed with veto power to decide on financial regulation.

Then Dodd asked Bernanke if he wanted that role as Chairman if the Fed and Bernanke responded with a flat out NO THANKS!

why do Republicans think destroying America is a good thing? So they can seize the scraps at low ,low prices and fill their wallets with the profits they will gain in a few years when they sell our scraps back to us at inflated prices. It's what they always and only do. Catastrophe Capitalism. Good for powerful rich institutions with the resources to wait out the catastrophe--bad for everybody else and they don't fucking care.
