Poll question: What is the greatest challenge we face (IE your #1 Issue)?
Please select your number one issue here. I can't include them all, but please do comment on why you made your selection, and of course comment if you choose "Other"!

Very interested to see what this little "values" poll will turn up here!

1. I know I know - experimentor bias but I chose the Environment
Without a planet to live on nothing else much matters in my opinion. Though there's no reason why we can't take action on all of these fronts... and we need to!

2. I really do feel that the war is the MOST pressing because
it has already cost us over 600 billion. we spent around 2 billion on katrina. when you think what could have been accomplished with 600 billion. so much more of the things we really need.

4. Education.
Otherwise we run around chasing whatever issue that the GOP wants to pretend to care about.

5. I don't have one single issue.
All those you have listed are far too important to just pick one.

6. All of the above and more
It's hard to have a single issue when they all interrelate to each other. The economy is greatly affected by the fiasco called Iraq. Health care is critical as is security, the Constitution trumps everything, but this is like choosing a favorite among your children... how do you do that?

12. Exactly. i'm a one issue voter.
My issue is that we waste billions and billions of dollars on our miliary expenditures, which cause the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people, instead of using said money to improve our own infrastructure, energy policies, education, health care....

Stop wasting money on war, and start spending it on peace. That's my issue.

7. Why I chose Energy.
I voted Energy because the War in/over Iraq/Iran/Afghanistan is related to Energy supplies and our access to them.
The Environment is negatively impacted by our mis-usage of Energy.
Our education is being slighted by price increases in fuel.
The other issues matter to me as well, but those issues are a lot quicker to solve than Energy issues.

IF we the US don't lead on alternative Energy production and research, then you can best believe that the Japanese, the Koreans, the Chinese, the Indians, and the Europeans will.

9. Election integrity.
After that, media reform (including net neutrality).

Without those, efforts in all other areas may be futile.

16. Other - economic justice - IE more equitable distribution of income.
...encompassing labor rights and organizing, of course.

I don't think a populace that is divided between the idle wealthy and the proles who have to work 3 jobs to get by is one that can achieve any of the other things on your list.

18. I chose the constitution. Seems like a solid constitution would help address the other issues.
Without a Constitution that hasn't been completely gutted by the Bush Cabal, we're at a loss to address many of the other issues listed. We need to secure and defend our Constitution first.
