2. I hope that some day Waxman gets the honor he deserves..along with the others who have stood up
against BushCO despite it making them such a media lightning rod.

3. Already know what the response will be:
"We're trying to prevent a partisan witch-hunt."

4. I thought Cheney wasn't part of the Executive Branch
While I don't believe that, how does he get to have it both ways?

5. From the Republican Dictionary
Vice President - An enigma. Has all of the privileges, but none of the responsibilities, of the Executive Branch.

8. Whoopee....more words.
Pardon me if I don't get excited until they do something more than come up with witty rejoinders.

I like Waxman too. And Conyers, and all of the good ones. But ain't shit been done about these outrages. Am I wrong? Please, somebody correct me.

9. OK as sarcasm, but bad otherwise

That is exactly the argument about warrantless wiretaps and all of the other invasions of privacy by Bushco - "If you are not a terrorist, you have nothing to worry about from the PATRIOT Act." It makes my skin crawl to hear that

12. Yes, and it's a taste of his own medicine.
It's not a law, Waxman isn't trying to use it as a law; he's merely showing everyone who heard him that Cheney is a hypocrite.

11. It was a criminal operation from the start, imo, if divvying up Iraq's oil reserves were
in any way a topic of discussion during the administration's early energy meetings. :D

15. Henry, throw Bush's words back at them
We expect there to be transparency. People who have something to hide make us nervous. - Bush, Anchorage, Alaska, Feb. 16, 2002
