betchya most 'murican's understand it's satire -- i get so sick of the disparaging of the average intelligence of americans.

could it be that most americans just don't give a shit about the cover of the freakin' new yorker this election cycle and are a bit more concerned about some more pressing matters?

it's bad satire and deserves little to none of the blustering and huffing and puffing it's received heretofore, imho

but i guess we just have to continue being told which matters are important to us and which aren't

It had Alistair Darling and Gordon Brown in Scottish dress. Darling was in Michelle's spot and Brown in Obama's spot... let me see if I can find it

I remember all too well that we did not renew our subscription to the New Yorker after it supported Nader far too much in 2000.
