LIVE ELECTION RESULTS FOR NORTHERN IRELAND ASSEMBLY

Northern Ireland held elections today for it's general assembly. If all goes well, and that includes the creation of a bipartisan cabinet made up of DUP and Sinn Fein members, they will gain almost complete home rule over Northern ireland. if the two sides are not able to come together after today, Northern ireland will fall back into British Control. Sinn Fein has live election results on their website for all parties if anyone here is interested in seeing history in the making.

dont seem to have any results up yet even though polls are closed.

3. They don't start counting until the following morning

It's a Single Transferable Vote system, so the counting is quite complicated. The BBC says counting started a couple of hours ago, and results should start appearing in the (Irish) afternoon.
