Now, I could be wrong. Wouldn't be the first time, and certainly won't be the last, but I'm having a difficult time of finding the answer on the on-line encyclopedias and that is a bigger mystery, than where he was born.

By all mean, check my homework, and if someone can find the answer here, point it out to me:

http://www.who2.com/georgebush.html

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_H._W._Bush

You go to any biographical reference, John McCain's, George Bush II's, and they'll tell you where these people were born in the first line. But why are they not so forthwith with George Bush I? Could it have something to do with the incredible hypocrisy of the Republican propaganda machine?

4. Yes, it does!
I had to look a second time. I guess what I was told by someone is incorrect. I was told that he was born to diplomatic parents who were in France at the time. Mea Culpa. I probably confused him with someone else.

10. Actually, I haven't taken mine off yet.
Not until I talk to the person to confirm that I misunderstood what he said.

5. Yes, it was in the block. I think I know why I was confused.

I was speaking to someone who told me that he was born overseas, but I suspect that the person was thinking of someone else, or I misunderstood.

9. Glad your confusion is cleared up. We couldn't possibly have a Great American like George H. W.
Bush born in (*shudder*) France......

16. My personal take? That the guy may well have been born in France and that the BFEE
has gone to great lengths to disguise the fact, if it is true. I have no knowledge of what the actual facts are, but I just distrust completely anything these people say.......

17. Well, that tells you something, doesn't it?
It would not surprise me in the least, either. And if this little lie (compared to all the other lies) brought down the House of Bush, it would be poetic justice considering that twenty years later, it appears that legally, it really wouldn't have mattered if he had been born overseas as long as the correct papers were filed.

8. It's still interesting that he was born in MA
if you think about all the indirect bashing of the state by Bushco because of Kerry.

12. Massachusetts is a complicated place.
Edited on Thu Jan-25-07 11:24 AM by The Backlash Cometh
At least, that's what it appears to someone who was never born there, nor ever lived there.

13. I've been under the impression he was born in Milton for years
He was born at 173 Adams Street in Milton, Massachusetts on June 12, 1924. Adams Street is named for the family of Presidents John Adams and John Quincy Adams, who lived on the same street just a few miles south in the neighboring community of Quincy, Massachusetts. The Victorian house where he was born is privately owned and not open to the public. The Bush Family soon afterward moved from Milton to Greenwich, Connecticut.

that was gotten from the opening of the "early years" section on the same wikipedia article

14. Would you know what his father did for a living?
Was he ever a diplomat?

We know lots about Prescott Bush, but, really, nothing about the father.

15. You might want to seek out Octafish's journal...
he has lots of information about the Bush family there, and could answer some of your questions I'm sure. His research is phenomenal.
