All of McCain's talk about the Iraq/Pakistan border has got me thinking...

But now it all makes sense, they'll just jump the US/Iraq border!

East Germany couldn't build a society that kept their citizens from defecting; voila - build a wall and the problem is solved (well kind of solved - the society didn't get any better but the people couldn't get out so at least the problem could be hidden). The US government can't come to an agreement of how to deal with illegal immigration; voila - build a wall and the problem is solved (I guess the jury is still out on this one since the wall isn't finished yet, but you just wait for the miraculous improvements that will happen when that last brick is laid).

Those true believers seem to be missing the wisdom of building a wall between Pakistan and Afghanistan. That would keep those pesky terrorists on their own side of the border. I know there are a few mountains they would have to deal with, but that would just make the resulting wall that much more impressive.

When in doubt, build a wall.
