If you (try) to send an email to Pelosi...
And don't live in her district, you get this:

Thank you! Please note that if you are not a constituent, this form will not process your entry. Non-constituents should visit http://www.speaker.gov or email americanvoices@mail.house.gov to reach Congresswoman Pelosi in her capacity as Speaker of the House.

:grr:

2. I can understand that. If you have ever been a recipient of an avalanche...
of emails, you would know that it is no fun, at all.

The snot-nosed punks at the "other" underground had my phone number and email up for a couple of hours, and it was amazing.

10. The email was not a problem.
It was an email account that I use to communicate with one person, only. So anything I received from anyone other than her, I simply deleted.

I forwarded my phone line over to my fax machine. Evidently, their little ears are sensitive to fax tones and that crap stopped right quick.

Check your Inbox.

8. They did that to me, too. Mostly it got me some great items
to send out proving that evolution skipped the mouthbreathers.

(They're so cute and brave behind their keyboards.)

lol

3. Comment from Asher Heimermann
I know, I was upset after I sent her a nice long welcome letter when she was elected Speaker.

4. makes a lot of sense to do it that way.
If you are a constituent and you have a local issue you want to bring to her attention, you wouldn't want it buried in the deluge of emails that she undoubtedly gets based on her position as speaker.

13. How lame are you? Have you gone to her website?
If you go to pelosi's website and click the link to send her an email, a page comes up that not only explains that there are different addresses to be used for constituent mail and mail directed to her in her role as speaker, but provides direct links to those other sites.

12. Oh! Oh! I got a reply!
Thank you for contacting my office.

Congressional courtesy prevents me from replying to emails if I cannot determine that you are a constituent of mine.

If you are not a resident of California's 8th Congressional District and are contacting me in regard to my role as Speaker, please email me at AmericanVoices@mail.house.gov.

If you are a resident of the 8th District of California, please contact my office in Washington, DC at (202) 225-4965 to be added to our database.

"Congressional courtesy"?
Protecting the turf?
Can't we just talk?
jeez
