2. There are times I'm not sure about the death penalty
but I have to believe the world would be a better place if the lowlife assholes who did this were no longer in it.

They would never let me on the jury.

3. "connection between those who abuse animals, and people who commit crimes"...
...those types of people are psychopaths - they have no conscience. There are a lot of them. Not only are they cruel to animals (Romney, anyone?), but some of them are CxOs of big multinational corporations. And, some of them were appointed to run countries....because power, control, profit and greed and winning at any cost is their #1 priority - and they have the lack of conscience to achieve those oh-so-admirable goals.

Psychopaths is what they are. And I hope the karma bus crushes to dust every damn one of the miserable bastards - if they can't be stopped by justice, let them be destroyed by their own karma.

E V I L is what they are. The embodiment of it.

5. Romney's Cruelty Was Stupid
I mean, if you see my post below I said there's some cruelty (to animals) that you have to wonder if the person was just being stupid.

I can see some one thinking, well, gee, dogs always want to stick their head out the window into the breeze, so why wouldn't they love being on top of the car with the breeze all around them?

It may be cruelty, but I wouldn't call that psychopathic. Psychopaths don't care if they hurt others, they want to inflict pain.

Stupid cruelty is certainly not acceptable either, but at least I can separate the person from the act.

6. Dunno about Romney. It goes beyond stupid to downright cruel IMO.
The poor dog shit on the top of the car.

Besides, I think most Republicans are at least sociopaths. ;)

4. It Makes Me So Mad
I understand indifference to animals - with all the people suffering in the world, and all...

Then you have the "collectors" who just can't stop taking in animals, even when they can't care for them. These people are truly astounded when they get charged with neglect - you know the ones, the disgusting houses on the news we hear about from time to time with floors literally covered with animal urine and feces.

Then there's cruelty that's so stupid, you aren't sure if the person is a complete idiot rather than evil. Like the woman in Florida who locked her dog in a cage and left it. For days. Knowingly. The dog starved to death. She said it was because she could no longer keep it.

But then there is cruelty that is so hideous, so deliberate that there is no denying or excusing the inherent evil of the person who did it. Like the absolute monster who microwaved a kitten. Or the monster who set fire to these dogs.

I can't even begin to comprehend it.
