IMO there are only a handful I don't want to see challenged. If there are not any challenges I will just have to hold my vote this next few elections. I can not in good conscience vote for any that let this Administration roll over them..I realize I can only vote for my own Representative and Senators but I can hope there are like thinking people out there..

1. Stop being completely ridiculous.
Perhaps you haven't noticed, but Republicans still have the filibuster. If you think there's any way they'd get something done on Iraq that would bust through that, you're only kidding yourself.

7. Are you aware there is no such thing as filibuster in the House
What is the House doing anyway?

8. Are you aware the House passed the non-binding resolution?
And are you also aware that passing any laws requires both the House AND the Senate?

2. Sorry Toots, you see, when the Democrats were in the minority
they couldn't do anything, because the mean Republicans would take away the filibuster. Now, that the Democrats are in the majority they can't do anything, because they are afraid that the mean Republicans will use the filibuster. So the poor Democrats just can't get anything done because those mean Republicans are just too big and strong...and MEAN!

If the Democrats launch massive investigative hearings into all of the Bush Gang's criminal activities, that might go a long way to readjusting the power curve in the congress, but we'll see...

4. You hold a fundamental misunderstanding of the situation.
The threat of ending the filibuster was for JUDICIAL NOMINATIONS ONLY. And further, you seem to imply non-action because of the threat of a filibuster, yet I seem to recall Democrats pushing forward on the Iraq resolution despite that. The fact is Republicans DID filibuster the bill, and there is nothing more that can be done on that without having more Senators. So I'm really not sure what you'd like them to do.

3. Non-Binding Impeachment
It's perfect for today's Democrats. It takes a stand, without taking a stand, and preserves the right to feed at the BFEE trough in the future.

6. Well to tell you the truth I am not all that pleased with what we have.

Impeachment is "Off the Table" don't you know...Apparently it does not matter how much criminal activity is divulged "Impeachment is off the table". We will endure this blight upon humanity for another two years at least and the Democrats will be accomplices to the fact..Tell me again how wrong Nader was...Tell me the great difference between the parties...IMO the Democrats have earned their reputation..
