GO NEWT!!! I think he would be the easiest to beat, though Romney might not be as difficult too. I am beginning to think that Dame Rudy will be tough to beat since MSM won't ever want to tarnish the "hero of 9-11" myth.

2. IMHO Rudy will never win, even if he wins the Repub nomination
Rudy cannot win without full support of the Republican Party, and he will never get that from the social conservatives and fundamentalists.

THis election may be the first time the 'one issue voters' turn around and bite the Repub candidate in the behind. Rudy will appeal to independents, but it won't be enough.

BTW this same group will never accept Romney as the Repub nominee because he is a Mormon.

5. You know ...
that is what my head is telling me, but ... These people DEFY logic ...

These are the same people who got behind the current dolt ... They are capable of ANY level of rationalization, justification ... ALL they have now is 9-11, it is the holy grail to these people, and as such Rudy is the physical embodiement of it to them ...

I would not rule it out ... Last fall was a start, but I don't trust the american public with their votes ONE iota, and I won't until such time as they show they are awake, aware and serious ...

6. I used to think that. Then I started seeing polls with Dame Rudy winning PA, NJ and OH
over HRC (who have equal name recognition). And then I started hearing Repubs claiming they were going to hold their nose and vote for him because he was "the only candidate who could win" in the current climate. I have seen polls with Dame Rudy taking 20% of the DEMOCRATIC vote. He has plenty of baggage, but MSM never says anything bad about him, and never will. THAT is my #1 reason why I don't want him to be the nominee.

Lastly, bible thumpers voted very enthusiastically for a warmongering, poor hating GW Bush, it isn't hard to imagine them voting for anyone with the (R).

7. Yes, but he can win independents and even some dems and conservative fundies may not vote for him
but they won't vote for the Democratic nominee either. So Rudy is electable.

3. Giuliani is creepy and a lousy speaker . . .
He'd implode quickly. Not to mention he's not very good with relationships and his campaign would be rough 'n ragged, IMO.
