no I do NOT want him to be president, but the Democrats need a kick in the ass to get moving on the people's issue

It appears Congress will not pursue anymore investigations on the vice president, after the conviction of his chief of staff

Today Democrats are calling for us to get out of Iraq by the end of 2008, NOT 2007, but 2008

It looks like the Democrats are all talk with very little substance

I hope they prove me wrong

1. Foolish. If Hagel runs he'd be almost impossible to beat.

5. I was being glib...
but aside from ideology I do think he's way too intellectual for the mainstream Repuke/Freeper, and he's way too far to the right to appeal to mainstream Democrats, so no need to fear him too much imo.

3. I do not agree with that. assessment
On almost every social issue in this country he is a hard right conservative. The people in this country are not, and if the Democrats would distinguish themseleves on that loud and clear, WITHOUT NUANCE, we would have no problem running against him

The issue is Iraq, and the Democrats better step up to the plate

7. Wes Clark or Al Gore could wipe the pavement with Hagel...
And they would - without NUANCE. Of course, their entry into the fray are but wishful thinking at the moment.

9. The red folk here in Nebraska are spewing their hate for Hagel
every day. He may have voted with the repubs more than any other senator, but he dared to speak against bush re the war and now must be silenced.
