Meanwhile over at Jim Robinson's FreeRepublic....
...they are still having wet dreams about Terry Schiavo. The following insanity and bedlam is based on the awakening of a woman who had slipped into a coma. Ah, the culture of the undead, so fervent, so committed, so psychotic.....

Woman in vegetative state awakes, slips
Yahoo ^ | 3/7/2007 | Yahoo News

A woman who went into a vegetative state in November of 2000 awoke this week for three days, spoke with her family and a local television station before slipping back on Wednesday. "I'm fine," Christa Lilly told her mother on Sunday — her first words in eight months. She has awakened four other times for briefer periods.

"I think it's wonderful. It makes me so happy," Lilly told television station KKTV-TV. She also got to see youngest daughter, Chelcey, now 12 years old, and three grandchildren.

Her neurologist, Dr. Randall Bjork, said he couldn't explain how or why she awoke.

"I'm just not able to explain this on the basis of what we know about persistent vegetative states," he said.

A vegatative state is much like a coma except her eyes remain open.

"The good Lord let me know she's alright, he brings her back to visit every so often and I'm thankful for that," said Minnie Smith, her mother and caregiver after Christa slipped back into the vegetative state.

Quick, get her ex-husband to starve her to death before she wakes again! O-and if any politician is crass enough to try and save her-ridicule him endlessly!

""We need guest workers, because the business community depends on workers from other countries because they can't get the workers here," California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, a Republican, told me recently."
Which is why they should have listened to Terri Schiavo's parents who said they frequently communicated with Terri and that she often laughed along with them, instead of murdering her in the most cruel way imaginable. This is what happens when man usurps the role of God.

That is the same thing I was thinking. Just think if Terry Schiavo didn't have a husband she would be alive today. I am so sick of people trying to play God.

1. "I am so sick of people trying to play God".
If she had been left to "God", she'd have been dead a long time ago. MORANS!!!!

2. Did they not listen to the ME's report? She had no brain,
it was gone, and what was left was mush... Those are the facts.

5. .
Every sane person is aware of that fact. But that fact doesn't suit them so they argue that they don't believe it. For some of them, the medical report was a lie...

7. Hey! None of that fancy-schmancy science, now!
I FEEL that Terry Schaivo could still function with an atrophied brain....that's good 'nuff, dammit.

3. Having survived a short-term coma; this woman's predicament is what I fear most.
I chose in my living will to allow my family to let me die peacefully, but it was terribly difficult. I talked with clergy, doctors, and of course, my family before deciding.

How horrible that such a tremendously complicated issue, that involves medicine, family, spirituality, and technology, is reduced to politics.

Will we ever truly appreciate the gift of life? I don't see it in my lifetime...

10. And to think that there's even
a part of the fundie movement, of which some politicians are falling prey, who want to do away with living wills entirely and who want to challenge the living wills already in existence! Can you imagine such hubris and arrogance? As a paralegal, I made my living will/health care power of attorney as airtight and loophole-free as possible. NO ONE is going to make such decisions for me, especially not fundie nutballs who don't even know me and never will know me. I'm fortunate to live in a state that allows both documents to be combined into one, instead of requiring a separate living will and health care power of attorney, which makes it much easier.

4. Oh, Freeperville still around? I thought their hatred suck them into
a black hole eons ago. Don't get too close, I hear their venom and envy is really nasty to the segment of society who have intelligence (thats s-m-a-r-t-s to all the lucking freepi).

Seriously, you can't reason with people who do not possess reason or logic. A minimum of intelligence and the capability to string more than three multisyllable words together in a sentence.

8. Medically, being in a coma vs. being in a vegitative state are 2 different things.
Coma = some brain wave activity on a CAT scan.
Vegitative state is much different and virtually no brain wave activity exists anymore.

If you are in a coma, you have a chance of waking up.
If you are in a vegitative state, you do not.
