Then his excellent reply:
Actually, I believe that being a woman in a position of power places unique requirements on communication. They cannot communicate as they would from woman to woman so they are stuck trying to blend a hybrid of womanly communications patterns (direct, honest) with manly vernacular. Hillary’s problem as with other women who have seized power (Martha Stewart for one) is she has little room for bullshit in her attempt to fill a roll traditionally held by men. The occasional odd comment like “get me my sunglasses” I believe are a product of a rapid stream of consciousness that must unload problems as they arise to make room for the next problem at hand.
I find direct language less offensive than the hidden agenda. Pandering bullcrap heaped on by those leaders who play games with people they say they represent while hiding their true feelings or actions. You know VP Cheney strings together poetic blocks of profanity in private as he threatens to ruin the life or career of any person who does not support his fascist beliefs (sorry to the Dick fans reading this, but if you analyze the steady chipping away of freedom and liberty over the last 5 years and compare it to other similar situations it can be described as nothing but fascist).
This same administration as a whole finds (gasp) gays in their direct family but chooses to browbeat any reporter who even mentions the fact or asks how the family dynamic works while denying various rights to other gays in this great country of ours (not theirs… dam faggots).
Additionally, as the pres and crew snicker over their tightly clasped hands in a version of mock prayer and pander to the evangelicals who were directly responsible for their two terms in office they were recently outed by the evangelical representative who has spent the last four years with them to communicate concerns and desires of the church; as making sophomoric fun of the easily led Christians. If you doubt this previous statement, a book was released six months ago laying out the entire story…
These are but two examples of a host of crap the current administration has heaped into the ever open maw of a blindly following idealistic party based leadership system.
Hillary, foul mouthed? Probably. But I would rather have a foul mouthed, direct person who does not know when to clip her words who in the end lays her thoughts bare for all to see versus a group manipulating the trust of those who would expect their interests are being considered based on the smiles and head bobs flung in their direction as said group whispers of things evil and unknown in private.
Hillary, right for president? Who knows. I certainly don’t intend this email as an endorsement or defense of her position but more as a simple please be careful of the type of things carelessly flung about on the internet before considering how the greater masses of non-thinking information junkies will process what they perceive as the last word on a person or position.
As a closing, if Hillary were right for the position of President of The United States as decided by the number of votes cast by the general public I would hope that she would be awarded the title versus watching another theft of the position by a sharper, shrewder and more self driven group as the one that stole it from Al Gore. Facts are facts. Al Gore had the popular vote – that means more people voted for him than voted for Bush. A twisting of the Electoral College, a whoring out of the voting process in a state run by Bush’s brother and a decision handed down to end it from the Supreme Court led to the theft of a presidency that has led us to spending a trillion dollars on a war that has done little more than destabilize the middle east and line the pockets of war profiteers.
Sorry for the lengthy response to a simple email forward, but I was so impressed by the comments Hillary was making at first and wasn’t aware it was a slam until the end that I had to air out how simple it is to mis-interpret intent.
May whichever god you pray to help this great nation and guide us to leave it better for our children than when we found it,
