and it made me wonder where he and all of the other pundits asking the same question have been the past 6 years. Of course he will pardon Libby and 'damn the torpedoes-full speed ahead. He took us into an illegal war; why wouldn't he pardon Libby.

1. Just like his dad pardoned all the Iran-Contra criminals
before him. Like father like son!

2. As someone pointed out last...he won't because he doesn't have to

Libby has added more shit-stains to Bush's "legacy." First high-ranking WH official convicted of a felony in 135 years. But Bush already got what he wanted out of The Libster. Even if he decided to squeal now, he'd only be bringing down Dick. Everybody knows Bush had nothing to do with anything about the war except act as pitchman, doing/saying what he was told.

The Bush's are an evil empire, truly. They'll reward loyalty, but they'll forget you ever existed the moment you've outlived your usefulness. Libby has nothing to offer them anymore. Bush won't risk even soil on what he thinks is his otherwise sterling reputation just to spare some little twerp assistant to the VP. And don't count on compassion. Bush can't even pronounce it, let alone express it.

I don't necessarily agree with this take, but there is something to it.

3. If Bush is still
president 5 years from now he will. Apparently the law is such, he has to wait. Of course the law never stopped Bush before...
