I would like to offer the following advice to Mr. Wolf Blitzer, the CNN news anchor millionaire when conducting a Q & A with a despised and criminal Vice President who has repeatedly lied, misled and used television stations and reporters (including Mr. Blitzer) to propogandize the Bush administrations wrong headed and damaging policies.
Mr. Blitzer, or may I use the more familiar, Wolf, as Dick did to keep you in your place and intimidate you into not asking hard questions?
Wolf here is what you said to Dick and how you responded to his bullying:
BLITZER: We're out of time, but a couple of issues I want to raise with you. Your daughter, Mary. She's pregnant. All of us are happy. She's going to have a baby, you're going to have another grandchild. Some of the -- some critics, though, are suggesting -- for example, a statement from someone representing Focus on the Family, "Mary Cheney's pregnancy raises the question of what's best for children. Just because it's possible to conceive a child outside of the relationship of a married mother and father doesn't mean it's best for the child." Do you want to respond to that?
CHENEY: No, I don't.
BLITZER: She's, obviously, a good daughter...
CHENEY: I'm delighted -- I'm delighted I'm about to have a sixth grandchild, Wolf. And obviously I think the world of both my daughters and all of my grandchildren. And I think, frankly, you're out of line with that question.
BLITZER: I think all of us appreciate...
CHENEY: I think you're out of line.
BLITZER: ...your daughters. No, we like your daughters. Believe me, I'm very, very sympathetic to Liz and to Mary. I like them both. That was just a question that's come up, and it's a responsible, fair question.
CHENEY: I just fundamentally disagree with you.
BLITZER: I want to congratulate you on having another grandchild.
He stared you down and you appeared to pee in your pants a little as he completely ducked a valid question. Here is how you should have addressed this issue, like a wolf.
WOLF: Why not Dick, you and this administration have been at the forefront of using homosexuality as a wedge issue. Your Daughter is a homosexual isn't she? She did earn hundreds of thousands of dollars working for your campaign, a campaign that actively promoted and courted the religious right's homophobic beliefs. Did the administration, that many have noted you have more power as the Vice President than any other in history, promote and support a constitutional ammendment banning gay marriage...legally prohibiting the same type of relationship your daughter Mary currently enjoys with her lesbian partner. Can't you see the hypocrisy in your public platform and the private behavior of your daughter?
CHENEY: I'm delighted -- I'm delighted I'm about to have a sixth grandchild, Wolf. And obviously I think the world of both my daughters and all of my grandchildren. And I think, frankly, you're out of line with that question.
WOLF: Well, time and time again you have proved, by your own statements and actions, that what you think is pretty far removed from reality...or so many have said. I am just stating what other people are saying.
CHENEY: I think you're out of line.
WOLF: Don't you think the religious right community, which has supported your administration more so than any other element within the U. S. population deserves to know why your public and private stances on the topic of homosexuality differ so greatly? Do you fundamentally believe what the administration's policy on homosexuality is wrong or does that only pertain to members of your immediate family? Do you agree with the policy?
CHENEY: I just fundamentally disagree with you.
BLITZER: I want to congratulate you, your lesbian daughter and her gay partner on having another grandchild.
Yeah Wolf you growled like a pup at the VP yesterday but as soon as he growled back you tucked tail and ran away. Keep working on it and soon you will be able to growl back and maybe even bite a little.
