Immediately transfer WR patients?

If you have ever been sick or had a loved one in tough shape, you know how agonizing it is to wait for treatment. I'm wondering why, if the concern about our soldiers is genuine, the government (and/or the Congress) couldn't just allow them to start getting treatment at private hospitals. How long are these kids going to languish? Why wouldn't this be a good (and humane) solution to the problem at least for the short term? This thing reminds me a little (really, a lot) of Katrina..."just sit tight, help is on the way".

no matter what has been happening to the OUTPATIENTS the in-patient care at Walter Reed is excellent.

2. So, leave the out patients there?

When there are tons of good private hospitals that could treat them? Why would we not do that?

3. Transfer to private hospitals

on the government's dime. These guys deserve much better. It's standard practice in private hospitals to transfer patients if they are unable to provide specialized or needed care. Hospitals also transfer or "divert" if they become too crowded.
