New National Poll out today. Hillary has to be in full tilt panic...
Poll Shows Close 2008 Races
A new American Research Group survey of likely primary voters or caucus goers across the nation shows the Democratic and Republican races closer than all voter surveys indicate.

Among Democrats, Sen. Hillary Clinton is at 34%, Sen. Barak Obama is at 31% and John Edwards is at 15%.

Among Republicans, Rudy Giuliani is at 34%, John McCain is at 30% and Newt Gingrich at 12%.

5. I think she's riding on the tail of her name recognition
The corporate media has force-fed the idea of Clinton as the front runner for quite a while now. The more she and the other candidates get out there and are heard, the more she will fade, imho. I don't want to bash the Clinton campaign, but I just don't see the magic. :yoiks: :hide:

6. and Amazingly but Wonderful, Al Gore is polling second in MD
He's running only 7 percent behind Obama. Isn't that amazing for a candidate who "has no plans" to run? Hillary is in the distance.... Not a good showing for a candidate from New York peddling her political position in a state partially inside the Beltway. She's being outdistanced by the Guy from Tennessee (the Man Who Should Be President) and the other Guy from Illinois. Tennessee and Illinois are both outside-the-Beltway states.

I have no link, but I received the results of the poll via email through my regular political updates. Unfortunately, I read it too late to go online and cast my own vote for Gore.

I think the numbers you post are interesting and not really too encouraging for any Republican or Democrat, except perhaps Obama, whose tracking record in these polls shows a continual increase.

Obama would make the perfect #2 guy for Al Gore. A Gore/Obama ticket could sew up the Oval House for the next 16 years. Additionally, it would present a united "anti-war" face for the Democratic party.

Go Al. Go Obama. Go for it.
