Apparently Fox Snooze Hasn't received the News
I understand that a major news organization hasn't heard that Scooter Libby was found guilty.
We need to do our Constitutionally patriotic duty to the fourth estate for freedom of the press and let them know.

I held my nose and went to the Faux news website. In the lower left hand corner I keyed in the news tip.

"Urgent News: Scooter Libby convicted of four felonies including lying to the FBI!"

After clicking submit I received a pop up that said they would get right on it and my anonymity would be protected.

All DU'ers should do the same to make sure they get it right. Apparently Faux didn't get the news.

The news media is suppose to keep the people informed per the very language in the Constitution.

1. Okay, two things.

1. Fox News did report that Scooter was found guilty. They also reported that he was found innocent of one of the charges. Which was, and remains, true.

2. This has nothing to do with the Constitution.

Edit: Don't get me wrong; Fox News is a blight upon our political landscape. It's a malignancy. But when we babble our heads off about non-scandals like this, we kill our credibility regarding their actual fuckups.

2. They Ran a Banner saying "Not Guilty."
Freedom of the press is to to keep an informed public per the very language in the Constitution. If you want the exact quote I will gladly provide. Faux Snooze is a right wing propaganda machine and constantly lies. It never hurts to throw a lie back into the face of a liar. The framing was Scooter was not guilty implying he is not a felon and he most definitely is.:dem:

3. I saw that

Someone here posted the picture of it and others said that Faux News was spinning the guilty verdicts.

Cheers :toast:

4. The banner was correct. It was followed and preceded by banners
stating that he was found guilty of the other four counts. There is no scandal here. There is no deception. You're just making faulty assumptions from what you saw on a screencap, and hoping other people will do the same.

The Constitution, being a delineation and limit of the powers of government, has nothing to do with this. And while I'm at it, there is exactly one mention of the press in the Constitution:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press...

No justification is given. Just "or of the press."
